This 7-night sketching retreat in Prague invites you to deepen your observational skills, and reconnect with your creative practice in one of Europe’s most visually rich cities. From winding cobblestone streets and storybook rooftops to quiet courtyards and cafés, Prague offers endless inspiration for artists of all levels.

Our days blend on-location sketching with guided art history walks that gently reveal how Gothic, Baroque, Cubist, and Art Nouveau influences shape the city’s visual language. These relaxed walks help you notice detail, rhythm, and proportion, and see the city with an artist’s eye.

Museum visits are woven throughout the week, including time at the Mucha Museum, where his flowing line, pattern, and expressive figures offer rich sketchbook inspiration. Additional gallery visits provide opportunities to draw from sculpture, paintings, and interiors.

We will draw in iconic locations like Old Town Square and Charles Bridge, as well as quieter neighbourhood corners that reward wandering. Instruction is supportive and unhurried, focusing on observation, composition, light, and developing a confident personal line.

Evenings are relaxed and optional. Share sketches over dinner, reflect together, or simply rest and recharge.
